Cannot upsize with A2003 to ADP

When attempting to upsize an mdb in A2003 I receive the following
error;
Connection failed '01000'
SQL Server error 53
....

Server does not exist or denied. Do I need to perform or execute a
program prior to upsizing?

Any assistance will be greatly apprecaited.

It seems that you cannot connect to the SQL Server you want to transfer data
to. You must know how you can connect to the SQL Server before upsizing:
where the SQL Server is, what security mode is used in the SQL Server
(Windows or mixed), are you authorized to connect to the SQL Server and
create/modify the targeting database on the SQL Server... You need have
answers to all these kind of questions before doing upsizing.
