Cannot use other accounts (IMAP/POP) if Exchange server is unavail

One of my Outlook accounts is my corporate Exchange server account. I can
connect to it only using the company's intranet. So it's normal that the
Exchange server is not available when I'm not in the office. But I still have
other accounts that count nothing with that Exchange one. Still, if Outlook
starts and cannot find the Exchange server, it goes offline. Completely. So
any othe account is offline. I cannot purge messages from IMAP account, for
example. Is it a limitation of Outlook? If not, how can I make different
accounts live together?
Thank you,
Denis

Use separate mail profiles for the different accounts. One for Exchange and
one for IMAP. Configure your Outlook to prompt for a profile when starting.
