Cannot use OWC11 in Frontpage

I use Frontpage to design an htm page including a
PivotTable component. (in Frontpage, Insert, Web
Component, Spreadsheets and Charts, Office Pivot Table).

That used to work fine with OWC 10, and I have now
installed OWC 11.

My problem is that Frontpage still inserts an OWC10
component into the page instead of an OWC11 component. No
way I can get a version 11 control inserted.

I have tried to dis-install OWC 10, but there is not entry
for Microsoft Web Components 10 in ControlPanel Add/Remove
Programs. So I cannot uninstall OWC 10. Still, my registry
is full of references to OWC10.

How can I get Frontpage to use the OWC11 instead of the
OWC10? How can I get rid of the OWC10 on my system?

When you said you installed OWC11, do you mean just
install OWC11 or upgrade to Office 2003? Also what
version of FrontPage are you using?

To remove OWC10 you need to remove it by running the
OfficeXP setup and unchecking the "Office XP Web
Components" option under "Office Share Features".

I upgraded to Office 2003. I have Frontpage 2002 SP-2.

I just followed your instructions and unchecked the Office
XP Web Components option under Office Shared Features. I
verified that Web Components now has a red cross next to
it.

I verified that Office 2003 Web Components and .Net
Programmability Support are checked (i.e. installed,
little hard drive icon) in the Microsoft Office 2003 Setup.

Frontpage still inserts version 10 Pivot component. Going
to the HTML view, I get:
<OWCVersion>10.0.0.5605 </x:OWCVersion>

OK, I have upgraded to Frontpage 2003 and the problem is
solved. I wasn't aware that Frontpage 2003 wasn't part of
Office 2003.

I have a new problem though, and I'm going to open a new
thread.
