Cannot use shortcuts to add attachments in Outlook

D

Dr.Jones

I have shortcuts on my desktop to folders on a network drive. I am trying to
send an attachment in outlook. When I try to navigate to a file using these
shortcuts I get the error "Only files can be attachments. C:\xyz is a folder
and cannot be attached."

I have remapped the drive, recreated the shortcuts, rebooted, and verified
the paths. I can however, manually attach the files on the network drive if
I navigate directly through the drive instead of using the shortcuts. I also
noticed that the shortcuts don't have the little arrow indicating that they
are in fact a shortcut. I suspect this may have something to do with my
troubles. Please help. Sorry if this is the second time I have posted this
issue.
