Cannot view some attachments in Outlook express.

PLEASE HELP!!!

I cannot view most of my attachments when sent via email. I can view Word
docs and Excel files but when I try to view an attachment like a .pif or
..jpeg OE does not allow it. The statement "O E removed access due to the
following unsafe statements" displays. There are no virus contained within
the attachment as I have asked friends to send jpegs and I still cannot view
them.

ANY IDEAS :- I have reduced my security settings in OE and IE.
