I can't access the CD drive on my computer, I have Windows XP installed. What should I do?

Sweetie--

This probably is a *microsoft.public.windowsxp.general problem* but I'll
take a swing. There can be a number of causes, but if you mean allofasudden
you are putting in a CD-ROM and can't install or can't play or burn a
CD--that's very often corrected by deleting two values per this CD Method
1.

Set a system restore point, and export the registry key. File>Export>Name.
This is a reflex to back it up anytime you edit.

If that doesn't work after you reboot and delete those values, try these two
KBs.
