Can't access e-mail due to repeated Java error

Hi,

I have XP and am unable to access my e-mail on Outlook Express. I received
the following error...

"Outlook Express" has encountered a problem and needs to close."

The error box states...

"Program Error: MSIMN.exe has generated errors and will be closed. An
error log is being created"

The error log states in part...

An unexpected error has been detected by Java Runtime Environment:

Each time I try to log on to Outlook Express, the error message comes up and
I can't access e-mail.

I have updated the Java application, but no change.

Can anyone help?

Note that this is an Microsoft Office Outlook forum.

Outlook Express is family of Internet Explorer and Outlook of the Office
family.
