Can't Access Excel Files

L

Version: 2008 Operating System: Mac OS X 10.6 (Snow Leopard) Processor: Intel Today I can not access some of my Excel files. I get this error message: "The file may be read-only, or you may be trying to access a read-only location. Or, the server the document is stored on may not be responding".

I can access the files with Numbers but get the same error message when I save them to Excel.

HELP!!

Thanks

Without more information, all I can suggest is that that's likely to be a
permissions/locking issue with the temp files created when Excel opens a
file.

Recall that the user requires rwxrwxrw- permissions to the folder ABOVE the
folder storing the file.

See http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2963

Hope this helps
