Can't activate Office:Mac 2008 trial

B

bob.james5

Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: Intel

I downloaded the trial version of Microsoft Office 2008, got all the way installed, tried to open Excel (and Word), it asks again for the Product Key, this time I get the message, "You have entered an invalid product key. Please try again."
I've downloaded twice and both times wind up with the same problem.
Can you help me?

Hi Bob,

Here's a quick troubleshooting guide for you. Hope this helps.

Product Key Entry Issues
Ensure that you have entered the 25 character product key (i.e. ABCDE-FGHIJ-KLMNO-PQRST-UVWXY) in ALL CAPS, including dashes, and without extra spaces in the trial launch window. If this does not resolve your problem, continue reading for other troubleshooting tips.

Network Issues
If you do not have network access, are behind a firewall, or have a software firewall installed on your Mac, it may be blocking access. Try disabling the firewall or software, or moving to a non-firewalled network
during the activation process.

Marshall -

I also ran into the same problem as Bob. even registered twice with
different email addresses, received two different product keys and neither of
them works.

Could you please assist.

PS: brand new MBP, no firewalls installed.

Hi Friedl,

If you can give me an email address to contact you at, I can follow up with you offline, if that would be okay with you.

Thanks!

Best,
Marshall
