Can't activate Outlook from Home & Student version of Office.

I purchased Microsoft Office Home and Student version. It came with a trial
version of Microsoft Outlook. I tried many times to purchase that part of the
program before and after the trial period expired. I was not able to do so.
Does someone know how to do it? Or....am I expected to purchase a different
version of Microsoft Office in order to have Outlook? I refuse to do that. MS
customer service has given me at least 3 diffferent solutions, none of which
worked. Hope someone can help.
