Can't add new record details to subform

Hi
I am creating an order entry screen. The main form has
customer & delivery details and the subform has products
being ordered.

When I go to create a new record I can do so in the main
form but the subform goes grey (ie. it has the headings
but no white lines for entry)

If you could let me know whats wrong
