Can't adjust paragraph spacing

Somehow one of my documents has paragraph spacing that I can't adjust.
I want the spacing to be 6 pt after but when I enter this nothing
happens. The only reason I can see for this is that part of the style
contains the followings: "Don't adjust space between Latin and Asian
text." I can't figure out how to get read of this.

Hah! I remember that piece of brain damage.
Try checking Prefs » Compatibility » Don't use HTML paragraph auto
spacing.

I *thi....ink* that's it. Please say if it works or not. I know it was
discussed in here a while ago.

yep. Put html paragraph as exact phrase into Google groups advanced
search on this group. A very illuminating discussion from Dec 2004
