can't attach word documents to my aol mail

Processor: Intel

Suddenly my aol attachments only work in pdf format.
I save them in word format - but I can only email them if I change them to pdf. How do I get them to open as attachments in nonpdf format again?

If your AOL email client is creating PDF attachments you'll have to find the
answer from AOL (or the developer of your email software if you're not using
theirs). The program which creates the document being attached has nothing
to do with what happens when the attachment is created.
