Can't background color be saved in Normal.dotm?

A

Angyl

Or am I missing something? I've followed the instructions for changing the
page layout of Normal.dotm successfully (the font is now Times New Roman),
but I also changed the page background color in Normal...that's not showing
up, though, new documents are still just white.

Is that a feature not a part of the Normal Template?

Hi Angyl,

If you opened Normal.dotm and used Page Layout=>Page Color
to create a colored background, then under

Office Button=>Word Options=>Advanced=>Show Document Content
check to see if this setting is turned on

[x] Show background colors and images in Print Layout View
