can't c/p urls or web info into word

I just started using a mac. On a pc i could c/p a url or info from a
web page into a word doc. When I try with my word 2004 on the mac,
(command c, capture url, command v to place it in word doc), nothing
happens. Just blank, as if nothing's on the clipboard. Advice?

If *nothing* is being pasted it must be that *nothing* is being copied

It depends on what browser you're using as well as several other variables,
but the process really isn't much different on a Mac. If you're using
Apple's Safari try Control/Right-Clicking the content & using Copy Link.
