Can't change LINE ENDS in Visio 2002?

Hi, strangely, on two different PCs (both with Visio 2002) I can't change
any of the LINE ends in my ERD diagrams?? I'm stuck with default Arrow but
I want the CHEN notation (circles at the end). I try to change it with the
FORMAT -> LINE options, and I see the other Line Ends to select, I can even
APPLY it inside the dialog box provided and actually SEE it change in the
format dialog box, but it never changes in the actual ERD??

Could this be a bug? What's up? Thanks for any input at all.
