Can't change or stop outgoing e-mail when you republish a project

In 2003 you could select either New and Changed Assignments or Republish
Assignments, and from there you could choose not to send e-mail notifications
or change the e-mail message.

In 2007 there is only one Publish option and you are not allowed to change
the or stop the outgoing e-mail notifications. What is the reason behind this
change in functionality? What is the workaround?

This is particularly frustrating to my current client. Help!

Jay,

Not sure why they depracated that business process. Really did like
the UI with choices. But, you might be able to go to PM PWA settings,
turn it off, Publish, then go back and turn notifications back on.

I thought of that, but there are so many PMs. They would have to alert us
(the administrators) whenver they wanted to publish a project.

We might have to advise our users to turn off the personal setting that
alerts you when tasks are modified.
