can't change printer settings default

Every time I try to print a Word document, the 'paper size' dialog is
set to 'US Letter/manual-roll' and won't print unless I change to 'US
Letter'. I can't find any preferences or other settings in Word or in
my Epson (R1800) printer settings to change this default. It's driving
me crazy and results in much unnecessary time and headache.

Someone else asked this yesterday.
Do you know how to Google the group?
In short, the paper size travels with the template.
You may need to change your default normal template if you are not
specifying another one.
