I am an admin and can't checkout any of my global resource pool in order to
make changes. I am connecting through MS Project 2003. Tools | Enterprise
Options | Open Enterprise Resource pool.

I have tested my connection to Project Server and it is working fine. I can
check out and check in Projects.

I have gone into PWA to check the resources and none are listed in the
cleanup area.

Any ideas?

Christine,

No worries. Resource names will be appear to check in PWA, If and
only the resources checked out by administrator by enterprise resource
pool.

To verify the above do this steps:

Tools -> Enterprise Options -> Open Enterprise Resource Pool ->

Select resource name you want to check out -> Make sure option

Read/Write to Check out -> Click Open/Add

Now,

If you look in PWA, you can see the resource name listed as resource
name to check in.

But always recommendable to close the resources from Project Pro
Enterprise resource pool instead of check in from PWA.

This will be useful, If resource locked out, then you can use PWA
check-in option.

Thanks
Chak

I was following the procedure as you have outlined, but the checkbox for
selecting the resource does not become enabled until I select the "Read only"
option. I can't not check out any of the resources from MSP Pro.

PWA -> Admin -> Groups -> Administrator Group ->

Edit Enterprise Resource Data selecet as Allow under Permissions

That was it. Not sure how that all got turned off. Typically I am the only
one who messes with that, and I haven't been in there in months. I have also
updated Resources since then.

Weird.

And thanks!!!!!!!

Dale,
Thank you for providing this information. It was of great assistance today
as Project Enterprise reflected I had several resources checked out and I
didn't. I was able to check them back in with the information provided in
the link.

Once again, thanks!

Johnnie
