can't click on pp attachment in email or stand alone and open document

Just upgraded to PP2002 and win2000 pro. Now, when I
click on an pp attachment in email or as a stand alone
document, PP2002 opens up but the document doesn't
display. I have to go to the tool bar and click open and
open to the file I want opened. Can anyone tell me what's
wrong?

Sounds as if your file associations have been messed up.

I'm using WinXP here, but I think it's similar in Win2000. Go to Windows
Explorer, Tools/Folder Options/File Types. Click on the PPT file type.
In the "opens with" area, click "change." Select PPT from the list. Or
you might try clicking "restore" to restore the association to PPT. Do
the same for PPS.

Now that I think about it, though, Win2000 really is different than
that. Hopefully someone else will pop in with specifics for it. If not,
I can check tomorrow at the office.
