When I click on Start -> Microsoft Word, I get the following error message:
"(null) is not a valid Win32 application." If I go in My Documents and click
on a file produced by Word, nothing happens.
So, I thought I'd go into the Control Panel, Add or Remove Programs and
remove Word 2002 and all the patches, then try to reload it. When I
attempted to 'Remove' Word 2002, I got the error message: "This patch package
could not be opened. Verify that the patch package exists and that you can
access it, or contact the application vendor to verify that this is a valid
Windows Installer patch package."
So, I'm stuck and asking for advice on how to proceed. I originally loaded
Word 2002 from Microsoft Works Suite 2003. I have ordered Word 2003 and will
be trying to load that when it arrives. But how to remove Word 2002 is
important, I think.
Thanks in advance......
