I’m encountering a very peculiar issue related to users who try to log in,
with their windows credentials, to Project Professional from their desktops.
Users get a “Login failed message. Invalid username and password†when they
try to connect to it yet they can successfully access PWA using the same
credentials (For both instances their windows username and password is passed
through so they should never be prompted). What I’m seeing is that as soon as
they make a connection to PWA they can then connect to Project Pro.
So the issue here is why they need to first access PWA before they can
connect to Project Pro. Keep in mind that it doesn’t happen all of the time.
As long as their credentials are cached they can connect to Pro even if they
close PWA but they just need to make that initial PWA connection before they
can connect to Pro. I don't see this as an access/permissions issue since the
account I'm trying to log in with has admin rights.
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
