Can't connect to server from Project Professional 2007

I'm able to log into PWA with not problem. I'm also able to login into the
server with Microsoft Office Project 2007 when use the public IP address of
my Server. However, when i try to login using the LAN IP address of my
Project server, i am unable to log in.

I get the following area:

Login Failed. Project could not connect to the server. Please check your
username and password and try again.

Any Suggestions?

Have you created the required Alternate Access Mappings for the URL's you're
using to connect ?

You will need an AAM for

Public URL {Netbios and or IP addr}
Lan URL {Netbios and or IP addr}

Is the project server on the same subnet as your proxy? If so, check that
it not forwarding the requesting via the Internet.
