Can't Copy and Past at all

I am using Windows XP and after I use my computer for awhile I can't
copy and past anything. The computer lets me copy items (as in its
not greyed out) and then when I select paste (which is also not greyed
out) the computer doesn't past anything. I open microsoft clipboard
and it usually says something like "no preview available" and when I
click on it nothing happens.

Please help.

With all applications closed, check that your temp file folder is empty,
This is usually at Documents and Settings, Username, Local, Temp. It should
be empty, so delete all files abandoned in there which may require a reboot.
