"Can't create an item" in MS Outlook 2002 SP-2

Everytime I click on an email address on the contact page
of a company website I get the following message: "Can't
start MS Outlook. Can't create an item.". If I run MS
Outlook, I get the second part of the message. I can send
and receive emails from MS Outlook. In the main, I use
Outlook Express. I've been into Control Panel, Internet
Options, Programs and selected MS Outlook there. Outlook
Express is not set as the default. Any help greatly
appreciated.
