Version: 2008
Operating System: Mac OS X 10.5 (Leopard)
Processor: intel
When I click on any of the chart types, I get the message "Can't open Excel to edit chart data". It further says to be sure I am not editing a cell and that all dialog boxes are closed. I'm not, and they are. This occurs even in a brand new spreadsheet where I enter just a couple of columns and rows of simple numbers.
I am not trying to edit a chart. I am trying to create a new one, and none of the chart types will let me.
One note. I have retained Excel 2004 on my computer, and I sometimes use it. However, when I get this message, only Excel 2008 is open. This shouldn't matter because we're supposed to be able to run both versions.
