Can't create distribution list

I'm trying to create a new distribution list for all contacts in a certain
folder... I create a subfolder under "Contacts" called "McCall Agents." The
McCall Agents folder contains only Contacts content, and was populated
through the File Import feature of Outlook. When opening the individual
contacts in this folder the information shows up correctly, yet when I try
to add the members to a new distribution list it doesn't show the names...
Instead it shows a bunch of semicolons. I have no clue what I'm doing wrong,
but it's not working and I need some help. Microsoft's support site was
useless... felt like a wild goose chase trying to find a searchable
knowledge base and I eventually gave up and resorted to the newsgroup.
