I am having a problem with a PC that we upgraded to Windows XP with Office 2000 SR1 deleting files. The PC is on a work domain and when you open MS Word or Excel and attemp to delete a file the system responds with a message File is in use by another user or program.
The file is not open and no other applications appear to have the file locked. If you close the program and use XP explore or open My Documents the file can be deleted. Also the user has Administrator rights. Any suggestions?
