Can't delete email: error 16002

I have one email delivered that shows as unread. I have read it and it
still shows as unread. I can't move it to a folder or delete it. When
doing so, I get a message: Unknown error (16002) occurred.

The preview pane is not on so turning it off to delete does not help,
as suggested by another thread here.

Any help would be appreciated.

Error 16002 is not one that is listed on the Error Page
<http://www.entourage.mvps.org/error/page.html>. The symptom of not being
able to delete a message is indicative of a corrupt database. Try rebuilding
your database and see if that clears your problem.

Make sure you are running the latest update.
