Can't Delete Email

Outlook 2007. Have an email message stuck in the Outbox. I have tried
deleting, moving to another folder, exiting Outlook, rebooting my PC - all
with no luck.

Would like to delete it without sending.

Help please !!

File - Work Offline.
Wait 5 minutes.
Try to delete.

If it fails, File - Exit.
Check Task Manager to verify that outlook.exe isn't on the processes tab.
Restart Outlook and remain offline.
Try to delete.

If that doesn't work, what is actually happening when you try? What type
of mail server?
