Can't delete emails in 2007

When I try to delete an email in 2007 I get one of the the following error
messages:
"The messaging interface has returned an unknown error. If the problem
persists, restart Outlook"
or
"Could not complete the deletion. The items may have been already deleted
or moved."

Are you using IMAP, POP, Exchange? If you are using IMAP or Exchange,
are you trying to do this while offline or online?
What happens if you restart Outlook (for good measures reboot your
computer as well) and try again?

Sounds like PST may be corrupt. Try running ScanPST.exe. If this does
not solve the issue I have found that exporting the repaired PST, and
then Importing it into a new PST resolved all issues.

Before you run scanpst in Outlook 2007 Beta 2, make a copy of the PST.
The tool still has some issues in B2 and might destroy your PST
completely.

Try creating a new profile (Control Panel, Mail). You can keep your old
one (for now), but make a new one to test it. That might solve your
issues.
