Cant delete linked subprojects in master

After inserting and linking a project, I am unable to delete the subproject
later. I have checked off the link box to unlink the file, but it always
rechecks itself when I return to the 'advanced' tab. I have followed the
prompts when deleting but it only closes the subtasks on the subproject

Any suggestions???

You don't mention which version of Project you are using. If you are
using Project 2003 I seem to recall this was a problem that was resolved
with an update. For Project 2003, make sure you have SP2 installed.
