Just migrated from Outlook 2003 to Outlook 2007 with purchase of new
computer. Files were transferred from one machine to another using Vista
tools over network. Outlook 2007 intitially had various problems; the "Inbox
repair tool" (SCANPST) was used and fixed various errors. Now Outlook 2007
loads and send/receive is OK, but it won't let me delete any messages! I
figured out a workaround: hold down the shift key as I delete, then answer
the prompt (do you really want...?) in affirmative, and it finally deletes
selected message. However, the "deleted items" folder has several hundred
messages and I get an "unknown error" message when I try to empty the folder.
I am prompted to restart Outlook, but that has not been effective. So - I
have a problem with deleting things and would appreciate any assistance....
Thank you.
