Cant delete page numbers

I numbered pages 1-8 in a word document but as they are in the wrong order
I wanted to have them `not
numbered` but cant seem to change it. I`ve gone to insert/page numbers/
cancel but it doesnt cancel
it, that is how I numbered them in the first place.....help.

View > Header and Footer

Scroll down so the cursor is in the Footer area, delete the Page Number.

BTW, looking at your other post, it may be worth thinking about a DTP
package if you are wedded to the "Page" concept. Word is rather more
"Document" based with page breaks occurring at appropriate points rather
than having discrete pages in themselves.

Publisher might be worth a look.

Thanks Peter that worked for me.
I just got publisher last week but as yet havnt looked at it, this might
speed it along.
