Can't delete some comment and change balloons

Hmmm... I have Track Changes set up to show changes, deletions and
comments in balloons.

Accept All works fine. So does doing it one by one -- most of the time.
But every so often I just can't get rid of the ballooon. Usually when it
refers to a single word.

Bug?

What are you trying to get rid of them? Just Accept All? Accept All
doesn't affect Comments, I don't think--separate command for Delete All
Comments.

If doing it one-by-one, I've found that I have to be a little picky
about where I'm clicking (on the comment vs. in the comment text) to get
the correct right-click menu that offers Delete Comment/Reject Change.
Also, if your balloons have the name/date/time header, clicking the X in
that header Rejects/Delete the balloon (I keep the header turned off,
myself).

You are using 2008, right? (don't make me remember that, please :) Which
of the methods above is not working for you?

I need to get rid of some but not all as I go through succeeding drafts
of a job.

I am using 2008. I have put Delete Comment and Accept Change buttons in
the Reviewing Toolbar. Most of the time they work, butsome of the
time... no.

Right, yet another method. See if a different method works to delete
those balloons, then--right-click or the action buttons in the header.
No clue otherwise. Can't reproduce on my machine--if you can figure out
something that consistently triggers it, or come across changes/comments
that really can't be deleted by *any* method, post here and let MS know.

Also, note that selecting text and typing substitute text is both an
Insertion and a Deletion and may need to be accepted/rejected twice.
