Can't delete task

I created a new task in the Task Usage sheet instead of
the Task Sheet and now I am not able to delete it from
any sheet.

I can still delete any Task created in the Task Sheet.

Can someone help?

Fred,
When you say "Task Usage sheet" do you really mean "Task Usage view"? If
so, exactly how did you create the new task? I successfully inserted a
new task in the Task Usage view using both the Insert menu and the right
mouse click method and then deleted it using either the Edit menu or
right mouse click method.

Yes, I did mean to say Task Usage view. I used the Insert
menu when I did it. I subsequently added another task in
Usage view and successfully deleted it, but this earlier
Task remains stubbornly there and will not allow itself
to be deleted. So I have an anonmaly that occurred only
one time, but I can't figure out how to fix it. Is there
an underlying database I can go into to delete the Task
there directly?

purchased recently as an upgrade to 2002 Standard.
