Can't delete text in new documents

Every new document, label, etc. comes up with text that I created for a
project a year ago. It's almost like a default text setting that I cannot
erase, and can't get any blank new documents. I've tried everything while
working with styles but nothing works-not clicking on styles and clearing
all, deleting the text and editing the style to match...Please help me get
rid of this old text forever so I can have new blank documents. Thanks!
