Can't dismiss old reminder

M

Mike Busch

A couple of my users get reminders of old appointments
that no longer exist in their calendars. If you hit open
item on the reminder I get: "Can't open the item for this
Reminder. The end date you entered is before the start
date.". Everytime this user opens outlook this reminder
pops up. How can I get rid of it?

FYI, Even though this reminder is 7 weeks old we went
through an Exchange 5.5 -> 2K3 upgrade, but I believe
that happened more than 7 weeks ago. I finally shut down
the old exchange server a couple of weeks ago. this
reminder seems to fall inbetween those two landmark
events.

Your advice is greatly appreciated.

Couple of switches that may help, one is /cleanreminders and the other
/cleanfreebusy. I would run the /cleanreminders first and to do this close
Outlook and from the Run command type "outlook /cleanreminders" without the
quotes.
