Can't download updates after upgrading

I just upgraded from Office XP to 2003, and went through
the process of checking for updates -- was told I needed 2
updates, tried to get them, but got the
message "Installation unsuccessful" with a link to a page
that suggested 4 possible problems, none of them relevant
to my situation. Any idea what's going on?

I am having the exact same problem and have not had any luck resolving. I am running the student edition and thought maybe that was part of the problem. Are you running full version or student version?

I'm running the Basic edition, which I'm guessing is the
same as the Student Basic.
