Can't drag word find box

Since my recent auto update, I can no longer drag or move the Word find box - it opens in one place, that is where it stays, and there is no way to move it. It makes it very difficult to use, as I often have multiple word documents at once which I have tiled in specific locations on my active screen. The box covers the document I need to use, and then makes it hard to find what I am looking for since I have to either move the document to a different place, or the box is covering what it finds - and I have no way to know if this is what I am looking for without switching back and forth. Before the update, I could just drag the find box where I wanted it on my screen - now, it is in one place only and can't be moved! Help!

If you are working on a small screen you may be unable to get hold of the
top of the Find box. That's the only part you can drag.

But it drags OK here, and I can't think of anything that would prevent it
unless you're running Spaces.

Cheers

Reportedly, yes, it did seem to resolve most of the issues that were out
there. But there could be any number of other limitations, incompatibilities
or actual bugs with Spaces itself. It could possibly be related to the
number of documents the user is running at once, the amount of RAM, what &
how many other processes are running at the time, etc.

I believe John's point was that there haven't been any similar reports
pertaining to Word itself. As he replied, I can't reproduce the issue
either. I've tried with as many as 6 files open, those being a combination
of doc/docx ranging from 2-65 pages each, on both Tiger & Leopard.

Phillip,

You nailed it - I have to click on the desktop, then I can move the find box. Problem all fixed.

Regarding the post that suggests 10.5.7 fixed this issue, I did not encounter this problem until I upgraded.

Nothing to do with the number of spaces, size of documents, or anything else. It is a consistent problem no matter how much I do - or do not - have going on.

Thanks so much. As I said, I live in Spaces, and where I am at in my research I have needed to use the Find Box extensively. I really appreciate the help getting the problem fixed!
