I've checked the Microsoft help - and it says:-
"To start your database model diagram, do one of the following:
Create a new model diagram from scratch
On the File menu, point to New, point to Database,
and then click Database Model Diagram. .................."
Only trouble is that I don't have "Database" available under [New], nor do I
have a Database pulldown menu. Also when I right click and take "Database
Properties..] option on a Table shape in a visio diagram emailed to me,
nothing happens - certainly no Database Properties pane/window appears.
YET ..... I have *exactly* the same release level of Visio Professional 2003
(11.8223.8221 SP3) as the author of the document .... and he has all the
things in the program which I don't and thus he can create/edit entity
relationship documents - while I cannot.
We are working in the same domain in a MS client/server LAN, though with
separately installed Viso Pro programs on our PCs.
How do I get the features of the Vision program my colleague has ????
(We'vejust spent an hour or so trying to figure this out, and have got
absolutely nowhere - and as usual found the MS help information of no use
LOL!)
