Can't edit object

I have a word 2007 document with an uneditable object.

When i click the object, neither Picture Tools, SmartArt Tools, not any
formating tab shows up. When i right-click, no i didn't see format picture or
format shape.

The object border is same as the SmartArt border. When i tried to save in
Word 2003 format, it says "SmartArt graphics will be converted into a single
object..."

What i can do is only resizing the object.

Anything can help?

When you Right-Click it what *is* in the contextual menu?

What happens if you double-click the object?

What does this object look like?

The contextual menu just looked the same as when i right-click the paragraph.

Nothing happens when i double-click it.

It looked like a combination of shapes and textboxes after being grouped
together.

Joshua see the post SmartArt: Be VERY careful sharing it with Office 2003
discussion which answers part of your question/comment.

I haven't seen the post the other responder referred to, but in a nutshell:

SmartArt & other 2007/8 graphics are only supported in documents saved in
the .docx format. If the doc then gets saved in a previous format & reopened
by 2007/8 a conversion takes place which renders the object un-editable. Or,
if the drawing originated in a .doc which was then converted to a .docx a
similar transformation takes place. Perhaps that's what you're up against,
although it's also possible that the object was copied/pasted as well as
other methods that would render it unable to be edited by Word's graphics
tools. Do you have any idea what the origin of the object might be?

You might be able to convert it to an editable object, but it may
deteriorate and/or still not allow the type of changes you want to make. Is
there anything in the shortcut menu such as Edit Object, Edit Picture or
Convert... - what appears directly beneath Cut, Copy & Paste?
