Can't enable Taskpane at startup

R

Robert Kister

I have an installation of Word 2002 as part of the Office package. I can't
enable Taskpane to come up at startup. I've checked the button at the
bottom of the tool "Launch at startup" and I've checked it under View - Task
Pane. Also tried a repair and a remove/replace install.

Is there a registry key that controls this function?

Thanks in advance.

Hi Robert,

If you have any add-ins loading when you start the app
the design is for the TaskPane to close down. You can
use either of these workarounds:

http://mvps.org/word/FAQs/Customization/ShowTaskPane.htm
http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=810162&FR=1.
