Can't enter info in to Calendar

I originally had Office 200 installed on XP and was working fine an
then suddenly I found I couldn't enter any information in to th
calendar. Whatever I typed and saved would not display. I have sinc
upgraded to Office 2003 to try and get rid of the problem and I stil
have the same problem. I have tried removing Office as a programme an
reinstalling it to no avail. Also whenever I create a new contac
outlook automatically sets a reminder for that contact and it pops u
and I have to continually dismiss it. This is driving me mental as
rely on my caloutlook calendar for work & family scheduling and i
simply won't accept any infomation. Any assistance greatl
appreciated
