"can't exit design mode because..." error - HELP!!!

For some reason I am getting an error that says

"Can't exit design mode because 'CommandButton1' could not
be created"

There is no CommandButton1 any more (I deleted it) and
there is no code referring to this button.

How can I make it stop?
