Can't exit design mode

I have documents that have 3 check boxes in them. Sometimes I receive the
following error message. "Can't exit design mode because control "Option
Button 8" can not be created". There is no OptionButton 8 that I can see.
Where would it be and how can I correct this problem.

I'd recommend searching your document for objects. Bring up Find and use ^g
as your search text. See if it finds more than just the three checkboxes.
