Can't Export Brainstorm Diagram Data To Word

E

E.Q.

When I try to use the menu options for a brainstorming diagram to Export
data, the only enabled option is "To XML..." The options "To Microsoft
Excel..." and " To Microsoft Word..." are stippled out (and hence disabled).
I have Visio 2007 standard whereas all other office products are 2003.
I apologize for reposting this, but I posted last week with no response.
Is this a compatibility problem or have I missed some setting that would
allow me to export the underlying outline of a brainstorming diagram.
Peace.

It is most likely an Office 2003 issue. I have Office/Visio 2007 and
everything is fine. At work, we have Office/Visio 2003, and don't have the
brainstorming export option at all.

Perhaps someone with a mixed V2007/O2003 installation can confirm this.

I was wondering about that. I was hoping that Visio might create a .doc file
regardless of version...
wishful thinking I guess.
I was able to export to XML and then import to Excel. It didn't make a very
pretty outline, though.
I guess the good thing is that most of the Brainstorming diagrams I've seen
have been simple enough that the outline could actually be entered by << gaspcomputer thingies though.
