cant export portfolio view to Excel

Hi guys,

we are trying to export a portfolio view from portfolio analyser to Excel
(2003) by using the "export to Microsoft Office Excel" icon from the Menu bar
- Excel opens up and asks if we want to enable automatic refresh, we say "yes"
- Excel gives us another pop up window with the following information:
"This data provider does not support totals that exclude hidden items.
Totals will be reset to include hidden items when the Pivot Table is updated"
.. We ok this diaolg box
- Excel brings up a new pop up box with the following message:
Excel cannot find OLAP cube MSP_PORTFOLIO_ANALYSER. Either the OLAP database
has been chagned or you dont have permission to connect to the cube. Consult
you database administrator"

I have checked the OLAP cube permission and I do have access ( otherwise
Portfolio Anlyser would not allow me to view the Portfolio view).
I have also tryed to access the cube directly within Excel, but no luck.
Same error message.

Any idea what this could be???

Are you certain that you're using Excel 2003? Has this had the latest
updates applied?

Hi Gary, I checked and yes it is 2003, BUT it seem to be a problem with
Excel since only this desktop has the problem, not the rest. I will reinstall
Excel and see what happens. I let you know if it worked
