Can't export table -Database or object is read only

Hello, I have an Access table that I'm trying to export
via a macro reading a file export specification. This
process works when I actually click export and run the
file specification. But, when I run it in the Macro I get
the error "Can't export table -Database or object is read
only." Can someone please tell me why I'm getting this
error.
