Hi, I have to set up the security of our Project server 2002.
After reading Gary Chefetz book "Implementing Entrerprise Portfolio
Management with Microsoft Project Server 2002", I thought I knew all there is
to know about groups/categories relationship: I didn't.
I first set high level permissions for groups to their default states (using
tables 10-1 in Gary Chefetz book). Then, I wanted to set categories to their
default states (using table 10-3):
1)How come I can't set the categories permissions until at least one user or
group is selected? Group settings were made in the manage users and groups
page.
2)If two or more users/groups are assigned to the category, the permissions
are changing depending on the user/group selected. How do I go about setting
the category permission to their default states without being affected by
users/groups permissions?
I'm definitely missing something here.
Can anybody help?
